During these months, you can expect pleasant temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit, making it perfect for beach activities and exploring the area’s attractions. The humidity is lower, and rainfall is minimal, providing ideal conditions for outdoor adventures. Additionally, seaweed, known as sargassum, is less prevalent during this time, ensuring pristine, clear waters and beautiful beaches. Traveling to Tulum during these months offers a perfect blend of comfortable weather and stunning natural beauty, making it the ideal time for a luxurious getaway.

 

 

The Best Way to Get to Tulum, Mexico

 

The best way to get to Tulum, Mexico, is by flying in to one of the two closest airports: Tulum’s new airport, Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport or Tulum Airport (TQO)  or Cancun International Airport (CUN). The Tulum airport is about 20 miles southwest of Tulum proper, but it can take up to an hour to reach central Tulum from the hub. Tulum Airport will eventually be the ideal choice to fly in to because it is not only closer, but the airport doesn’t have the crazy traffic congestion you will find at Cancun airpot. However, it should be noted that due to the airport being new a lot of the amenities, such as an airport lounge are not open yet. Also, due to limited flight options there can be delays and cancelations leaving you stranded at an airport with limited dining and seating options. (This happened to me. I was stuck at the airport for 9 hours due to delays and eventually my flight was canceled with no other options available until the next day.) So until the Tulum Airport is completely finished I would recommend the Cancun Airport even though it can be a challenging experience with crowds, immigration lines, and traffic.

Cancun International Airport is the most popular choice due to its extensive range of international flights and better connectivity. From Cancun, Tulum is about a 90-minute drive or sometimes up to a two hour drive with traffic. For the most luxurious and hassle-free experience, consider booking a private transfer service. These services offer premium vehicles, professional drivers, and personalized meet-and-greet services at the airport. Either way, regardless of which airport you choose to fly in to, a private transfer ensures comfort and convenience, allowing you to start your luxurious Tulum getaway in style. It’s important to note rideshare services will not be permitted at the airport due to tensions between the local taxi syndicates and rideshare providers like Uber and Lyft, which is true almost everywhere in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.

It is one of the best shops in Tulum, Mexico and the perfect place to buy one-of-a-kind designs you can rock in luxury beach destinations around the world.  I bought one of my favorite resort wear outfits at Mary Jane in Tulum, as well as one of their classy, but sexy, one-piece swimsuits.

Afrodita is a brand designed and made in Tulum. They have a shop in town, but you don’t need to stray from the beach to shop their gorgeous styles. You will see very beautiful “sales models” walking the sand of the hotel zone in Tulum. They will happily model any style they have, and you’re welcome to try on any of their pieces. You can receive a discount for purchasing multiple items. I personally have 5 of their pieces and wear them constantly on my beach travels around the globe.

You will see some people wearing heels, but the main road in the hotel zone is dirt and does not have a sidewalk, so heels are not recommended. Don’t forget to pack a light jacket when traveling to Tulum during high season because temperatures in the evening can feel chilly after spending the day in the sun.
